Litter in NYC

Eloise and I just spent a wonderful few days in NYC.  We picked up some trash and PUT it where it belongs.  One could spend a lifetime doing this in NYC (a worthy occupation).  At least there were a few reminders here and there:

Cities everywhere could do a better job with anti-littering campaigns.  Littering should not be acceptable anywhere, ever.  And people should be publicly encouraged to PUT their garbage where it belongs with signs that say DON’T LITTER or LITTER STOPS HERE and providing a place to put it.
